ACCOMMODATION

Rispond Estate can provide accommodation either on the estate or in the village of Durness or can find a wide range of alternative accommodation locally if required. The selection ranges from self-catering cottages through B&B to fully serviced type rooms adjacent to our licensed seafood restaurant. We would like to think that we can match your accommodation to your pocket.

Short breaks: We can provide accomadation for less that an a week in  any of our cottages (subject to availability) at the following rates

2 Days = 50%  3 Days = 65%   4 Days = 75%  5 days = 85%   6 Days = 95%

Polla cottage :

A quaint 2 bedroom cottage  (4 beds) with the 2nd bedroom leading off the 1st bedroom. An oil-fired Rayburn provides plenty of heat and hot water. Rustic but comfortable with magnificent views of the River Polla which is less that 20 yards from the door. Ideal accommodation for a fishing package.

 Prices:

  • Low season:  per week  (Nov - March)                                 £300   (including vat)

  • High season: per week   (April-Oct xmas and new year)        £375   (including vat)

     

 88 Sangobeg :

A neat 5 bed  cottage a couple of miles east of Durness with stunning views of the sea and Orkney when the weather allows, 200 meters from a quiet white sand beach.  The heating comes from an oil fired rayburn and a open fire in  the sitting room. With 3 bedroom it is ideal for a family break or a small group fishing trip. 

Prices:

  • Low season:  per week  (Nov - March)                                 £300   (including vat)

  • High season: per week   (April-Oct xmas and new year)        £375   (including vat)

     

 

  Rispond Cottage : 

A recently renovated 18th centuary  cottage, comprising of 1 twin/double bedroom with ensuite  (bath and shower). The open plan living area is equiped with a sofa bed for extra sleeping space. The kitchen area is finnished to a high spec with dish washer and fridge/freezer. Electic heating throughout with mutifuel stove in living area. The cottage is power by a wind turbine (with mains backup). Situated on a hill behind the estate lodge with views of the small private harbour. Idealy placed for a restful break or a more enegtic outdoor holiday.

Bed and Breakfast :

Standard budget B&B within the same building as the Seafood Platter. We can provide a comfortable and simple room with TV and tea making facilities, situated in the center of Durness.

 

 Prices: (based on 2 people sharing)

Open May to Sept

 

We can also provide cooked breakfast for non-residents at £7 per person. Booking required before 8pm the previous evening.
