A small family run boat building business currently operating in it’s second decade, situated in the “craft village” Durness but with access to the harbour at Rispond and Loch Eriboll at Port Chamuill.

We undertake work on almost all boats up to 80ft fishing boats, but we can build boats up to 30ft in wood, fibreglass, aluminium and steel to the client’s requirements.

Loch boats

            12ft- 13ft made almost exclusively from European Larch which we have planked to our own specification. These boats are without equal for loch drifting when fishing for sea trout or brown trout

Workboats

            Built to client’s specification in wood, steel, fibreglass or aluminium. Either bare hull or fully fitted out with outboard or inboard engines.

            We are also able source most makes of inboard engines and gearboxes, shafts and propellers.

Repairs and maintenance

            We also have a mobile workshop and can undertake repairs and maintenance on most boats within 50 miles of Durness.

Yamaha and Tohatsu

We supply and service both makes at our workshop in the craft village in Durness. With emission regulations reducing the use of old 2 strokes, we can supply either 4strokes or if weight is important direct injection 2 strokes that meet the emission limits.

Servicing and winter lay up.

            We undertake repairs – servicing and also a lay up for winter (specially outboards used in the sea). We can also store outboards and boats.

Pioneer boats

            We can source and fit out the full range of pioneer boats.
